Hacketts have been supplying fuel to farmers for many years and we are enthusiastic in our approach to the market place.
We have worked hard to earn the respect and support of three national companies. As a result we offer high quality gas oil/tractor diesel, kerosene (sometimes known as 28 second oil) and ULSD white diesel at keen prices which enable us to grow our market share. Commodity markets are volatile and crude oil is no exception, therefore the prices change on a daily basis. Whether you require 500 litres or 25,000 litres, every opportunity to quote is important to us.
Your business cannot function without fuel and we recognise a consistent, reliable and efficient delivery service is paramount throughout the farming year.
The implications of a fuel spillage are huge and costly. For peace of mind we urge you ensure your tank is safe. Ideally new tanks are to be situated at ground level. This applies to the regulations introduced in 2005 called ‘New Working at Heights’. Further information can be found on the Health and Safety Executive website (HSE) at www.hse.gov.uk
The Control of Pollution (Silage, Slurry and Agricultural Fuel Oil) Regulations 2010 (commonly known as SSAFO) apply if you store fuel oil that is used for agricultural purposes and your storage facilities were constructed or altered after 1991. Assess the safety standard of your fuel storage – consider corrosion, leaks and seals. Are chemicals and fertilizers stored away from fuel tanks? They must be located so spillage does not endanger buildings or the environment.
The statute can overlap with The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001 and building regulations. We do not profess to advise you on these complex issues but will assist wherever possible.
We offer a wide range of fully bunded steel tanks to comply with all the latest regulations.
A comprehensive and high quality range of agricultural lubricants is also available to maintain and protect your machinery
Safety data sheets for all fuels and lubricants are available upon request
